Child Custody and Visitation Rights
Child Custody & Visitation Rights
Under the current laws dealing with child custody and visitation when parties cannot reach an agreement about the custody or visitation of their children then the Court must send the parties to mediation through Family Court Services. We can assist you in preparing for mediation. Family Court Services is a branch of the Fresno County Superior Court and Fresno County is a “recommending county” which means that the mediator makes a recommendation to the Court in regards to a child custody and visitation schedule. It is ultimately the Court that makes the child custody and visitation orders however the recommendation could in fact impact the Court’s decisions.
